I Think...My Favourite

I believe this is my favourite layering combination I've done so far. Essence Let's Get Lost with China Glaze Atlantis on top.

And can I say

More Clouds.

Here are two more mani's I did inspired by Jane at Nailside.

OPI Big Apple Red, You Don't Know Jacques and Russian Navy

CG Blue Year's Eve, OPI Alpine Snow, OPI Catch Me In Your Net.
I really love these cloud mani's. So easy and a great way to try out more than one polish at a time.

Ahh...A Pretty

Tried to fix up the Trendsetter that I had on, but couldn't make it work for me. So i put this on instead.

This is You Belong To Me, a light blue creme from Essence, that makes me a lot happier than Trendsetter did (admittedly, not a hard task). At 2.95 Essence;s are exceptianl value.

Mermaid Tail Comparison.

My first comparison post. This is the four 'Mermaid Tail' polishes that I have.

Orly Halley's Comet, Essence Choose Me, Zoya Charla, and OPI Catch Me In Your Net

Not a great picture sorry. In real life Choose Me is not as blue asa the others but normal people would only need one out of the four.

My choice would be ORLY Halley's Comet simply because it didn't stain at all and the others did a little bit. Admittedly I had no base coat on so the staining was totally my fault.

Quick Blue.

Just a quick one of what I have on now.

Color Club Wicked Sweet. Gorgeous blue with an odd scent. Very sweet but not an identifiable scent.

Teeny Tiny Nubbins

Couldn't help myself. Had to put on some colour after just 2 naked days.
This is 2 coats of Orly Sapphire Silk. I really like it. To me it's a really dark dusty teal.

Pretty Pretty Glitter

This is the gorgeous Wet ' n' Wild glitter, Believe Me It's Real, from the Ice Baby collection. My camera (or photography skills, definately photography skills) aren't as good as other swatches i've seen, but it truly is beautiful. Small blue glitter with meduim purple glitter thrown in too.
Also it's goodbye to my nice shaped nails after today. At work I've been moving books on shelves and have broken corners off six nails. Ah well, maybe it's time for a shape change anyway.

Orange and Blue

Just like last time China Glaze Life Preserver was awful to work with. My set of this collection (Anchor's Away) is really really thick. And to make matters worse it really didn't look good with my skin tone. So I put CDN Ice Blue Shimmer on top. Slipghtly better but still only lasted one day with this mani. Please excuse the fluff on my ring finger.

Secret PeriWinkle with Stamping

Sorry about the shockingly unoriginal title. This is China Glaze Secret PeriWinkle with some cherries stamped on in Konad Special Black.
The reason the photos are of non clean ed up nails is because I didn't like them and took it off straight away. Looking back now I can't actually see why I didn't like it though.

Makes Me Angry

That I can go a whole long weekend and not have anything bad happen to my nails.
And then I get too work and within two hours break three and can see another one on its way.
What makes me happy is the Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe that I wore on the weekend.
This is three coats. I think next time I'll pu a black base coat on first. It's very hard to capture the gloriousness that is ATU

Very Nice Blue

This is China Glaze Blue Iguana from the Island Escape collection. Very nice sparkly blue that went on really well in two coats. I also added a dried flower which made me not like the mani so it came off straight away.
Probably the best application I've ever done with polish though. No clean up necessary.
I'll probably be away from posting and commenting for a few days because it's Melbourne Cup long weekend and my internet is really dodgy at home.
Have a great weekend everybody.

How to look stylish by accident.

This is China Glaze For Audrey.
And this is the dress I put on this morning not realising.
Yay for accidental styling.
Amazing formula. I only did two coats because I wanted to keep using it.
B doesn't like it. He thinks it's an old lady colour. Okay then, he obviously knows grandma's who wear blue on their nails, I don't.

More Pretty Crackles...And my photo course homework

At least this time I remember what polishes I used.
This is Orly Retro Red from the Plastx collection topped with China Glaze Oxidised Aqua.
Also one of my pics for my photography course.

Pretty Crackle

Hi, This is ummmm, I actually have no idea. Maybe China Glaze Adore and China Glaze Tarnished Gold. Didn't actually look at the bottle.
Must remember to do that.

Essie Smooth Sailing.

Really not sure what colour this is. Do I put it in my Polish catalogue as blue or purple. I asked my man what colour it is and his response was. 'Kind of between Purple and Grey, you should call it Purey.' Didn't have the geart to tell him the term was Grurple (Is that what it is?)
Anyway here is Essie Smooth Sailing, looking purple on me even though all the swatches I've seen make it look blue.
Side Note: This is my very first Essie. Loved the formula and the brush

Found th Foil Formula.

Yay I found the formula for using foils and having them not crack.
I used the foil, the a coat od Rimmel Matte Top Coat, the Nubar Diamont, then Seche Vite. I waited for each top coat to dry before applying the next.
And this is what I came up with.

Happy Day

Yay. Out little Custard is all better, which we weren't expecting 'cause he was literaaly lying on the bottom of the tank not moving. Thank for all your good wishes. Here's a version of the mani I wore over the weekend. And got lots of comments on.

Ths is Ulta3 Snazzle with BYS Matte Blue on the accents.

Ladybirds

Yay, I can post again. It's a bit sad when Internet is down at both work and home. I've missed seeing what everyone else has been up to.
This is a mani I did with about 5 minutes to spare and I've had so many compliments on it.

This is Ulta3 Pepper Pot with polka dots in BYS Matte Blue, and SV over the top.

Don't forget to enter my competition.

The Man's Mani

This was selected by the man. He said to use dark blue, so I did. Then he said it was too dark and did I have any of that ‘stuff that does that crackle thing in the polish to make it less gothic’. Umm, yes. That would be Crackle Polish. So he said I should use the light blue one. And this is how it turned out.

Indoor with Flash

(because the outside no flash pics were at 7.30 in the morning and my skin looks transparent)

This is ONE coat of China Glaze First Mate. One, the crèmes in the Knotty Nauticals set I’ve got are so thick they only need one coat, and take about half an hour to dry. Has anyone else had this problem. I’ll be getting some thinner this week so hopefully that will fix the problem. Over the top is China Glaze Crackle Glaze in Crushed Candy.

Another Franken Fail

Bad, Bad, Bad
